Refugee Advice Service Launches — Free Legal Signposting Now Available

Navigating the UK's immigration and asylum system is complex, stressful, and often inaccessible to those who need it most. Safe Roots International has responded to this need by launching a dedicated Refugee Advice Service.

Every Wednesday afternoon, trained advisers hold a free drop-in session at our community centre. They can help with:

• Understanding asylum or immigration status
• Signposting to local legal aid solicitors
• Help with Home Office correspondence
• Support accessing housing, healthcare, and benefits
• Referrals to specialist organisations

The service is confidential, non-judgmental, and available in multiple languages with translation support. In our first month, we supported 28 individuals, several of whom had been waiting years for clarity on their cases.
